An update...

No cards any time this week, sorry. My family is going through a tough time. My MIL passed away peacefully on Saturday morning. Needless to say my crafting mojo is gone out the door. We're dealing with the pain of losing her too fast. She was diagnosed with cancer in July. She was set to have surgery to remove the tumor in her esophagus on Jan 18th. They did open her up but found spots on her stomach lining and closed her again. They were going to give her another round of chemo, but that was basically all they would be doing, other than stretching her esophagus from time to time. Anyway, she came home from the hospital on the 29th of January. We did not know it, but she came home with fluid on her lungs. It showed up on the x-rays in the hospital but nothing was said to the family. In a matter of 3 days she was back in the hospital again, never to return to her home. The fluid on her lungs was so bad that  there was nothing they could do for her only watch her slowly die! On Feb 6th, she went through the Pearly Gates. She died of heart failure.

I have a couple of rewards to post. I was very happy when I checked my Google Reader and saw that 2 of my cards were chosen to be in the top cards for their challenge. I'll let you know all about it later. It was a bright spot in my day yesterday.

I will be back...I just need to take a few days to deal with this and help my husband through the dark hours. I've gone through it myself. My dad died in a vehicle accident 11 years ago and I know all too well the sorrow and sadness he and his sister are feeling.

It's SNOWING A LOT!!!

It's been snowing ALL day! According to the forecast, it wasn't supposed to start until the afternoon, but there were flakes falling when I got up this morning. My sister-in-law and I decided to not go to see my MIL in the hospital as it's out of town and we were afraid of the road conditions. The forecast for the next couple of days is SNOW, so I don't know what's gonna happen with our visits...
