I taught this boy when he was in grade 7. He was a one-of-a-kind kid and made everyone laugh. He was a bit of a "ticket" (as they say in Newfoundland) but it was all in fun for him. And everyone knew he was carrying on for a laugh and wanted his friends to laugh along with him. And even sadder than that is that his mom is in the hospital struggling for her life as well. She has cancer and they almost lost her a couple of times a few days ago.
Please send up some prayers for the whole family and the students and staff of his school. I remember as a student in my last year, just before school was out for the summer, we lost 4 in a tragic accident. What a sad situation. And this incident reminds me of what we were all going through and I totally know what the kids are all feeling there. It's a hard lesson to learn and it's probably the first time when you realize that not just old people die but our FRIENDS can be taken from us in an INSTANT and we are left to deal with the pain and hurt and sense of loss.

I am so sorry for your loss! It is so tragic to lose someone so young. I will keep their family in our prayers! My husband lost a friend in a motorcycle accident in 2007, my husband was the driver. It was very tough, his passenger was only 18. I hope you can find comfort in each other.
ohhh that is just so sad...i am so sorry!
Very tough time! Praying for those involved....
I saw something on your Facebook about a motorcycle accident, I am so sorry to hear about the death of one so young. It's a shame about the graduation but I'm sure no one would have felt right celebrating as many people would have been close to him.
((( Big Hugs ))) to you and your families, it must be an awful loss in your community.
so sorry! I will be thinking about his family and friends.
