My scrappy area

Here are the pics of my scrap area that I took a few minutes ago.I tried to clear away a little as I've been scrapping cards all day, and the dog's thing are all over the floor. Also, don't mind the dirty snow that you see through the window! That means the snow is MELTING and I love it!!! hehe!

Here's my desk. The pile of papers and stuff on the left are recent kits that I've gotten. I just pile them up for a while in the corner so I can have quick access to them. After a week or so I put away what I haven't used.
This is my computer desk.My drawers are full of scrappy stuff. My ribbon is on top.The basket is full of ribbon, too. I have my little photo area there as well. The light from outside helps me get a good pic of my cards and altered projects.
Here's another set of drawers. My shelf of paints, books, mags, and other things...
Here are my wire shelves full of patterned paper, organized on bags, by company. The shelf underneath the blue bag is half full of Basic Grey.Yum!!! See more ribbon! And my Thickers!!!...and another shelf full of goodies. The glass containers are full of buttons and brads. There's also a box of bandaids there! I caught Meika going off with the box the other day and chewing it up, so I grabbed it from her and put it there. Good thing! I used 2 of them just TODAY!!! First time she bit me and it bled.Had to cover it or get blood all over my cards I was making. Then later I was cleaning the counters and scraped the skin off my knuckle. Covered it again with a bandaid. So I think I'll keep that box of bandaids there!..and yet another shelf!!! Some of my cardstock is in the drawer.I have a crop hopper bag full of cardstock as well. It's under my desk.I didn't take a pic of that! See some of my albums there? I have another LOAD like that upstairs in the living room.A couple of boxes of cards I've made.
My Meika playing with a piece of ribbon while I was taking pics! Here's the poor ribbon AFTER she was finished with it :o(
I went around and found 2 more pieces of ribbon she plays with.

some cards I've made today so far...

First, here's my scrapping buddy!!! She loves to be with me in my room while I'm scrapping. She likes to steal my embellishments- ribbon, buttons, brads. She tries to take scraps out of the garbage and chew them up! She has at least 3 pieces of ribbon on the floor all the time that she plays with!
Here's a card I did using Noella's card sketch at Creatively Yours.

I have done more today, but I can't show you. It's for my DT reveals next week.

Scallop Punch Flower

Here's a tutorial on a cute flower that looks adorable on cards and layouts!

I found the original idea here on a blog called Mainly Flowers. It's an amazing blog and her flowers are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

You will need:
~Scrap paper to make template
~Pen or pencil to mark template
~Cardstock for flower and small piece for flower center
~Scallop punch
~Circle punch to make flower center
~White glue
~Marker to match cardstock
~Embossing tool (balls on the ends of it)
~Ribbon, green cardstock or some other material to make leaves

1. Punch out three scallop diecuts (one from scrap and 2 from cardstock)
2. Use the scrap piece to make the template.Fold it to find and mark the center.
3. Draw this pattern on the template.
4. Place all 3 pieces together and cut on the lines.
5. You will end up with 3 pieces.Keep the template to make more flowers later because I know you're gonna want ot make MORE!!! Trim of the edges on the cardstock if needed. I ended up with tiny pieces on the edges so I snipped them away easily.6. Using a matching marker, color the flower petals like this: 7. Using the end of the embossing tool with the smaller ball, make a straight line from the center of the flower to the end of the petal and then fold them inward.8. With the embossing tool, use the end with the bigger ball and make a circular motion in the center of the flower until it begins to curl up like in the picture.9. Put a dab of glue in the center of one of the flowers and place the other on top. Move it around until you like what you see :O)10.It should look something like this.
11.Use a hole punch that punches a bigger circle (If you don't have one that punches a bigger cirle, simply cut out a circle freehand.) Use the bigger end of the embossing tool and press down in a circular motion until the circle begins to curl up.12. Flip the circle over and add glue to the center of the flower.Add that piece to the flower.13. You are done the flower!! Now all that's left is to make the leaves. You can do this many ways.I used some ribbon and cut them into leaf shapes. You can see them on the card at the top.
I would love to hear from you if you try this!!! I'd LOVE to see your creations!!!
