Going GREEN August 29

*If you're looking for the blog hop post, it's HERE.

I used another Maya Road tin and made a "Let's Play" tin. It's so cute for a little kid! I found some sweet Crate paper in my scrap bag with little squirrels, owls, quails, trees, and acorns on it. I cut out the pieces and glued some little pieces of magnets onto the backs of them. Once the glue dried, I covered each piece with some "glossy accent" to make them shiny. These pieces can be played with on the back of the tin.Inside the tin, I glued down strips to make a tic-tac-toe game! I found some little beads that were flat on one side and glued a piece of magnet on them. I used a marker to add the "X"s and "O"s on each piece. You will need at least 5 of each in order to play a game without running out of pieces. I then put a coating of "glossy accent" on those too.
All the pieces can be placed inside and they won't move around or get messed up because they are magnets and they'll stay put!!! This is great to take in car! Here's how I decorated it outside.
We're getting down to the last few days of August.I hope you are enjoying the "green" projects this month! I will probably do this again some time next year because it's been FUNNN!!!

Going GREEN August 28

*If you're here looking for the BLOG HOP, click HERE.

I turned these juice lids into......a MINI ALBUM!!I sanded the lids a bit so that the paper would stick better.I cut out circles to fit the lids. I placed a piece of paper on each side. And the good thing was that I used SCRAPS for this project! No full size 12x12 paper was harmed or cut in the making of this project!!!I used my new Big Bite Cropodile to punch holes and set eyeles in the lids. And then I made a cover page with the title.
There are so many ways you could use these lids.I have a LOAD of them saved up and am thinking of doing a project with my grade 6 class. They could do a BFF album, My Pet album, My Summer Vacation, and so many more!!!
This can also be made into a necklace!
What other possiblilities could they be used for? Tell me some! I'd love to hear your ideas!

BACK TO SCHOOL Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to The Paper Passion "Back to School" blog hop!!!

Soon be THAT time again!!! Yep, time to head back to school!!! I'm a teacher so I'm heading back with all the kids too :O) I totally LOVE summer holidays, but when this time of the year rolls around I'm ready to get going again! I love all the new school supplies, the smell of all the new books and how everything in the class is sooooo neat and organized!!!

If you are following the bloggers who are participating in this blog hop, then you just can from Jenn's blog. If you forgot to leave her a comment, please hop back and do so and come back here!

Here's my "back-to-school" project.

As a teacher , I send home papers from time to time that kids don't want messed up, or sometimes they bring home a piece of art work to finish up and bring back to class. Many times these sheets go into the school bag and get smushed, messed up, wet from koolaid, and totally crumpled so much that it's not able to be put on display...

So, I came up with THIS idea for getting their papers from home to school or vice versa while keeping them in good shape.

You need a can similar to a PRINGLES can.

It's VERY easy to do this! Cover it with patterned paper or cardstock and add a few embellishments. You can even get your child to create their work can themselves. They can decorate as much or as little as they want. You can even add a handle!

Now, all they have to do is simply roll up their papers and they fit nice and neatly into the can. Place them in their school bag and they be safe and sound, and wrinkle-free, for the trip to school or home!

OR they can use it for putting all their little knick-knacks they carry around in their school bags too!

OR, I even got all my grade 6 students to decorate one last year and keep in class for their markers, pencil leads, erasers, pens, etc. They would keep things all together and when art class came, they simply grabbed their can and were ready for anything that we did in Art! Many of them still were using them at the end of the year!!!

Thanks for dropping by and don't forget to leave a comment here to let me know you're participating in our blog hop!

Now, you can hop on over to Wendy's blog! Hope you are having fun!!!

Oh Spongebob, WHY???????????

Oh my, have you ever seen the blog called CAKE WRECKS??? Well, people send in "professional" cakes and the pics are posted on the blog for everyone to laugh at, freak out over, scream at, faint over...whatever!!!

Here's one that was posted today...
What's your reaction??? OK, that was a "professional" cake decorator!!! Poor Spongebob!!!
Here are a couple of my Spongebob cakes, and I'm not a professional, mind you!! hehe! But I'm thinking mine looks a lot more like Spongebob, don't ya think! Granted I did use a cake pan.
I missed his eyelashes in this one.He looks funny without them! And one of his eyes looks a bit too big...and the gap between his 2 teeth is toooooo wide!!!

Take a look!!!

Digital Delights has a grand-reopening and is offering a WICKED prize!!!!! Go check it out!!!

Going GREEN August 26
