Some sad digi news...

I got an email today from Judy, the owner of Digital Ink Co. saying that she has closed down her digi shop and challenge blog due to circumstances beyond her control. So, that means I'm not on the DICO design team anymore :O(  One month, I was DT there one month, but I really enjoyed my month there and loved the digis. I'm going to miss seeing all the new images. Oh well... I'm thinking about you, Judy!

It's Twisted Thursday at S2Gs!!

OK, here's the deal, we all did crowns for this week's challenge BUT that's not your challenge! Your Twisted Thursday challenge this week is to create something with the main color HOT PINK! So, it COULD be a crown, if you like! The free crown template and the challenge details will be available at the Shiley's 2 Girls Challenge blog.

Here's my crown and I got Meika to reluctantly model it for me! She's a cutie , don't you think!

Are Y-UHU Feeling L-UHU-cky today??

Well, I have another RAK to send out!
I made this little notebook for my UHU design team spot this month and I'm going to send it to someone who comments here in the next few days. I'll choose a winner this weekend.

LUCKY NOTEBOOK

Here are the supplies I received, along with a UHU Stic (pictured in the next picture)

1. I used the label on the notebook to help decorate my notebook. I wrapped it around the cover and glued it down on the inside using my UHU glue stic.

2. I tied the raffia around it as well.

3. Using the green cardstock pieces, I cut out 2 round scallops with my punch.

4. I created a flower from one of the the round scallops. You can see my tutorial HERE on how I made them.

5. With the other round scallop I created some "heart shaped" pieces.

6. With my UHU glue stic I adhered the clover. I put another dab on it to place the hearts on top of the clover.

7. I just realized that I didn't get a pic of the other flower but I placed that one on top of the "hearts". I used my Cropodile and punched out a circle from the ladybug and placed it in the center of the flower.

8. Using my cropodile again, I punched holes in the small clovers and placed them on the keychain on the notebook.

There you have it! Leave me a comment and I'll choose a winner on Sunday night, if I'm not too tired! I'm going on a scrap weekend this weekend! I'd better get packing!!! Yikes!

Oh the weather outside is...

STRANGE!!!
Last night we had a big old blizzard for a while, then it stopped. Now, this morning it's mild and the snow is melting and it's raining one minute and then snowing another. Weird!!! We didn't get nasty weather this Winter, but it seems our Spring is going to be DIRTY!!!! Yuck!!! But, if it means days off school, bring it on!!!! Haha!!

I have this one in an envelope ready to give my BFF! She's coming down this evening and we're going to make some cards together!!! Yay! Christmas cards, too!!! I NEED to get some done!!

Oh before I go, I've been wanting to post this pic of my son, Alexander and his grandparents during his grad. It's a beautiful picture, one that will be cherished FOREVER! This is his grandmother who passed away on Feb 6th.It's still hard to type.It just doesn't seem right to be typing those words!!! :O(

edited to add: She's my mother-in-law, not my mom. Sorry if some of you thought it was my mom.

My mom celebrated her 68th birthday on Feb 16th and is STILL teaching!!! She's amazing! I've been teaching for about 20 years now but can't imagine teaching when I'm 68, can you?? Here's a pic of me, my youngest sister and our mom, taken on Canada Day, 2009.
